Program Description

During the October visit of this year-long program, students will start building a relationship with the farm space. They will develop long-lasting connections with the land and its cycles and slow down and really observe and enjoy the world around them. Classes will practice a variety of naturalist and observation skills on their farm visit throughout the school year.

    Fee Notes: 

    $600 for VSB classes and $750 for non-VSB classes. Classes must register individually. Discounts for small classes (less than 23 students) available upon request.

    VSB Discount! All VSB classes will receive a 20% discount on their field trips, farm bookings, and multi-visit programs. Schools in the David Thompson and Van Tech catchments will receive an additional 25% discount for their first field trip.

    Additional Notes

    Situated at Vancouver Technical and David Thompson secondary schools, our schoolyard farms are a short walk from many secondary schools and community centers. All field trips include a farm work experience, as well as a chance to harvest and taste vegetables, when seasonally available. Email us about different field trip time and duration opinions.
