Fishy Business
Investigate the ways natural resources can move from local to global in Fishy Business! Communities depend on their members to be good citizens. Part of good citizenship involves understanding and managing natural resources in a sustainable manner. Tour our Canning Line to understand changes in food preservation, learn about how fish are adapted to their habitats, and play a game to see an example of how fisheries are managed.
At the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site, we remain vigilant in keeping our location healthy and safe for visitors and employees. With that in mind, we ask attendees to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of a communicable disease, (for example, fever and/or chills, recent onset of coughing, diarrhea), and where symptoms are present please remain at home. Do not hesitate to contact our Education Programs Coordinator if rescheduling is necessary.
This program is 90 minutes long, and we can accommodate a maximum of 2 classes (30 students) per time slot.
